1. Hydraulic System Care: Routinely inspect case drain lines for restrictions, kinks, or blockages. A restricted drain line can generate excessive back pressure, leading to catastrophic motor rotary group failure. Maintain strict hydraulic fluid cleanliness standards and replace return filters at intervals prescribed for heavy mining equipment.
2. Gear Oil Management: Fill the planetary housing with the recommended extreme-pressure gear oil of the correct viscosity grade for heavy-duty dozer applications. Change the oil every 250-500 operating hours under normal conditions, and every 250 hours in severe applications such as continuous ripping, push-loading, or heavy dozing. Perform regular oil sampling and analysis to detect metallic particles as an early indicator of gear or bearing degradation.
3. Mounting Bolt Protocol: When reinstalling the final drive motor, always fit new high-strength bolts meeting the specified grade. Apply a suitable thread locking compound to the bolt threads prior to torquing to factory specifications, preventing loosening caused by extreme vibration and shock loads during dozing and ripping cycles.
